Why I Volunteer
When I was young, I would always make the effort to talk to adults about their "why." What drives them to do what they do...
Vonnie French (now retired) was the VP of Worldwide Operations at PANW when she told me that even though she has the money to give to people, sometimes it's not money they need. Our time is sometimes the most valuable resource for others in need. Time and energy are two of the most precious things owned that I can forfeit to help others.

NCWIT in Bay Area
I've been part of NCWIT since I was 18 as it propels young girls forward in CS and technology. As a Bay Area Affiliate Coordinator I volunteer my time to review hundreds of applications and organize the annual Bay Area Affiliate Award Ceremony at Santa Clara University.

Princess Project Silicon Valley
Highschoolers should not feel the burden of poverty or economic disability preventing them from making prom night a special memory. I help in facility support, sizing and tagging dresses, and helping young girls pick their favorite dresses and accessories. It is all free!

The Dancing Cat in San Jose
The Dancing Cat is one of the most organized and informative adoption agencies I have ever seen. As a data analyst, I supported in reformatting adoption data to make campaigns. Also, sometimes I just go hang with the cats and play with them.
